It’s so nice to see the same swan and duck families back again this year with their new broods. I’m really amazed that they want to hang out in front of our house, especially with the dogs terrorizing them. Maybe they are trying to teach their young what to stay away from!

It can be quite dramatic with the male swan going after Jansen, but still Jansen does not learn, and Jane is even joining in. The ducks are a little smarter and keep their distance, and you can hear all the little peeps coming from under the overhanging brush.
