Today is Jane’s 3rd Birthday. We had celebrated her other birthdays with Jansen’s birthday, because they are very close to each other. It was sad to not have Jansen here to celebrate this year, but we were so cheered up by some lovely cards and gifts our friend Aj sent.

Jane now has a favourite new toy “Blue Dog”. At first she was rather afraid of him, but now she is playing rambunctiously with him. I don’t think she has ever had a toy that was truly her own, because Jansen always stole them from her. She is having to learn all over how to play, because before mostly she just chased Jansen chasing toys. With “Blue Dog” she is finally learning that if she brings him back to us we can throw it and play with her. Now I think she is never going to stop!

The kitties also got a gift. Yum, catnip treats!

She was a little bit confused by her gift, because that was usually Jansen’s job to tear them open. She did like the catnip treat that fell on the floor though! Stay tuned for an action playing video soon…

She managed to wait 3 days before ripping the squeaker out of “Blue Dog”. That’s a record in this house. Jansen usually had them disemboweled of their squeakers within 15 minutes.

I tried to take some video’s, but she still keeps running away with “Blue Dog” before I get the chance. Luckily, she has stopped thrashing him around in bed in the middle of the night so at least there is some peace.
