Here are some photo’s of the DeBuurtOp festival to celebrate 200 years of our village Andijk becoming independent by imperial decree of Napoleon on 1 January 1812. There were about 2,000 people in the neighbourhood enjoying theatre, music, art, games and a market themed on the history of Andijk. It was very well organised and our neighbours really did a great job, with a lot of hard work, to make it a really nice festival.
The last picture is Rob holding a bag of “Andijker Muis” (Andijk mouse) potatoes. Apparently, our viallage is famous for them, and we now have a statue of a potatoe on the church square to prove it!
