This is a nice little film that gives a feeling for our little community here in Andijk. It’s about the preparations for a creative contest on the theme “Andijker mice” for the cultural festival that will be held on 22 September. It’s to celebrate 200 years of our village becoming and independent municipality, under Napoleon Bonaparte.
Of course, the village is much older than that (our house is 360 years old), but I guess it’s as good of a reason as any for a nice festival. You are all welcome to come join in on the fun!
Just in case you are curious about the Andijker mice contest, the rules are to make a creative, artistic Andijker mouse with a diameter of 50 inches, all materials may be used.
N.B. Apparently an “Andijker mouse” is a a type of potatoe. Should be entertaining to see what comes out it.
