We are very happy that we finally have a stair lift so that Rob can be upstairs. It’s great to be able to use our whole house again and sleep in our own bed. Things are finally getting back to normal again.

It was a lot of bureaucracy to arrange, but it was well worth. I think the photo Rob sent them after the last time he went upstairs really made them realise that we were not going to give in — see photo of being carried upstairs on a garden chair!

As usual, Jansen joined in on the action too. That’s Rob’s ADL assistant Debby and the guy that installed it Ed in the photo.

We’ve also finished most of the big renovations so that Rob can get around the house more easily (thanks Peter) and done a lot of other needed adaptations to make things more comfortable (thanks Bert).

So overall, we are ending the year in good shape. We are looking forward to a quiet holiday time next week, and not doing much of anything but relaxing.

If we don’t get the chance to talk with you all individually next week, we wish you a very happy, healthy and safe holiday season.
